Practical informations

The conference "Neutrinos at the forefront of elementary particle physics and astrophysics" is organized by the Institut de Physique Nucleaire de Lyon (IPNL) and Centre de Recherche Astrophysique de Lyon (CRAL).

IMPORTANT: There is no fee to this conference, the registration include a welcome cocktail, aconference dinner and a visit of the historical part of Lyon. A science vulgarization talk will take place on the 24th at 6:30 pm.

Date of the conference: October 22-24, 2012 in the city of Lyon, France.

Place of the conference: Amphithéatre Bibliotheque Marie Curie - INSA (number 1 on the map)

Requests for oral contributions (no posters) are open until *June 30 th*. 
The result of the selection of the accepted contributions will be communicated by July 14th.

Notice that the welcome cocktail and Public conference will be at the same location as the main conference "Bibliotheque INSA"
The lunches will be taken at the university restaurant "Castor and Pollux", which is located on the first floor of the building "Le prevert".


* SCIENTIFIC TOPICS
The conference will be focused on neutrinos as a bridge between the two words of particle physics and astrophysics/cosmology with 3 main topics: one per day of the conference :
• Fundamental properties of neutrinos (neutrino masses and oscillations, mass hierarchy, neutrinos as Majorana particles, the search for CP violation in the leptonic sector, hints of physics beyond the standard model, the present experimental scenario and future large size experiments for neutrino oscillations and astroparticle physics ...) 
• Neutrinos in astrophysics (neutrinos from the sun, neutrinos from supernovae, high energy neutrinos ... ) 
• Neutrinos in cosmology (measurements of large scale structures, measurements of the CMB, BB nucleosynthesis, dark matter/dark energy, leptogenesis, ...)

This conference will be the fourth in the series proposed by the Centre de Recherche Astrophysique and the Institut de Physique Nucleaire de Lyon (CRAL and IPNL), and the first of the LABEX LIO(Lyon Institute of Origins).

* ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FOR ORAL CONTRIBUTIONS 
The request formular for oral (20 minutes) contribution is available on the web site until June 30 th.  
The submitted requests will be reviewed by the SOC and the result of the selection will be announced by July 14th. 
Follow the "registration" link on the web site, and after login or pre-registering, select "Submit contribution".


* PROCEEDINGS
The proceedings will be a book of abstracts available electronically.

Deadline for abstract submission and grant request : 2012 June 30 th.

From Part-Dieu train station:
  • Take the T1 Tramway towards “IUT Feyssine” and get off at “INSA-Einstein”.
From Perrache train station:
  • Take the Line A metro towards “Laurent Bonnevay” and get off at "Charpennes", then take the T1 Tramway towards “IUT Feyssine” and get off at "INSA-Einstein".

Access from the highway: 

Via "Rocade Est" ring road: exit 1B then "Croix Luizet", follow "la Doua", then "Domaine Scientifique de la Doua". 

Via the Boulevard Laurent BONNEVAY: exit 6 "Porte de Croix Luizet", then follow direction "Campus de la Doua" (road access map).
